Exciting Changes to the T&D Curriculum!

TV Remote Control  We are in the process of making the following changes to our curriculum:

Name change for MAHPI

The Master of Arts in Human Performance Improvement (MAHPI) will be renamed to the Master of Arts in Organization Development (MAOD).  Several students shared that they wanted to the term ‘Organization Development’ to show on their degrees. This change will be moving through the university curriculum committees beginning this fall.

NewNew master’s degree

We are in the process of developing a third master’s degree to our offerings: a Master of Arts in Teaching Online (MATO). The curriculum builds on the successful credential in Online Teaching. This change will be moving through the university curriculum committees beginning this fall.

    Hi Vince,

This is great news! Will the department be adding additional classes for the MAOD such as Behavioral or I/O Psych? I also noticed from attending various OD groups in the greater Chicago area the need for business management/financials acumen for OD. Any chance of creating a course specific for TRDV or allow the students to take an approved course from the business department to satisfy one of the MAOD elective requirements?

    Thanks
    Larissa

As I completed Assignment 1 for TRDV-499 Masters Portfolio I selected exhibits tailored to Instructional Design at the same time I saw where I could have chosen exhibits in OD as well because I also would like to explore career opportunities in the HR industry.

Kudos, I believe RU T&D program is moving in the right direction interns of the name change from MAHPI to MAOD. One of the core classes is TRDV-435, Organization Development and most of the electives is tailored to this core class.
