MATD Program Updates: Spring 2020

As we begin the new semester, I want to make you aware of updates and changes to the MATD program:

  • As of Fall 19, our new and revised curriculum was rolled out as described in an earlier post
  • As of Fall 20 our program will move to the Heller College of Business. This move will align our program with related degrees in organization development and human resource management. Our curriculum will not change as a result of this move.
  • We are currently registering students for summer classes. Register early to ensure that the classes you want to take are available.
  • Lakeisha Robinson is your new advisor in the College of Business. To schedule an appointment with her to discuss fall courses or with other questions about registration, you can click here guide.eab.com or call 312.281.3293 or e mail her at lrobinson31@roosevelt.edu
  • Also, there are interesting new job and internship opportunities from our alumni. Click on the “Jobs” button to see them.

I hope you have a wonderful semester! Should you have questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

  • Sometime last year, I was made aware of these changes regarding the MATD program and I truly appreciate the transition. I think the program aligns more with the Heller College of Business as many aspects of the program focus on human development, OD, and (obviously) training. Therefore, I was excited to hear the news.

While my program is in OD, I am still able to take TD courses in place of the OD ones. This is a unique experience for me as I’m able to connect with OD and TD professionals. I’ve also had the opportunity to have Lakeisha as my advisor. She is so amazing! She’s very down to earth, communicative, and patient. During my transition into the MAOD program, I threw a ton of questions her way, lol. She was very helpful and continues to support me through my journey in the program.

  • I liked that the degree was part of the Education department. But I guess it makes sense for it to be part of the Business Department. Most common is training for businesses and companies. Thanks for the update.

  • When completing the MATD program, do the Graduates also automatically get the ISD Certificate as well?

  • Thank you so much for such a clear update. I’m just finishing up my 1st semester and appreciate this information greatly.
