Roosevelt MATD Selected as a Best Masters Program in Training in 2021!

According to Great Business Schools, the Master of Arts in Training at Roosevelt is among the top 25 graduate programs in our field. This independent organization ranks business programs without solicitation from institutions. The MATD was the only program titled “Training and Development,” and the only one mapped to the ATD Competency Model. We are pleased that this external review recognized the quality of our program.

Here’s what Great Business School’s has to say about careers in training and development:

If you’re thinking about pursuing a graduate degree in training, you’re making a smart move. Organizations, non-profits, and government agencies are constantly working to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their training methods. A master of training and development degree is the perfect start for a long-lasting career in an ever-changing field. In addition to job security, earning a master’s in training and development allows graduates to work in an industry of their choosing. From pharmaceuticals to education to finance, every industry wants its employees to go through high-quality training. A master’s in training in development makes you an asset to any company. Earning your training and development masters also puts you in a unique position to work on a consulting basis. If you’re interested in developing a business and working as your own boss, a training and development master’s can be a good start to showing business owners and training managers that you have the education necessary to improve their employee training methods.

  • Congratulations! This is great to hear with all that has happened in the past 2 years, this should be a double proud moment for all of the Roosevelt University family to reach this level through mostly virtual learning!

This is SO exciting! The review echoes my exact experience and belief that I’m in the right Master’s program. This might seem like a “simple thing”, but I really appreciate that the title of the program is “Training and Development.” It’s simple and straightforward — leaving no doubt in the mind of someone looking at your resume, what your exact program focused on.

I will be sharing this post with others on LinkedIn!

  • This article is very helpful as a new student transitioning from RMU to RU. I found using the Degree MAP very useful in finding my courses.

  • Model United Nations encourages brainstorming and team-participation to create a generation of thoughtful leaders.

  • Thank you so much for the update! I found it incredibly helpful as I wrap up my first year.

  • Thank you for the updates! I appreciate the link to the class schedules as well as the faculty and administrators info.

  • I have 2 classes remaining this winter and I hope things go well for me.

  • So great to see that the certification has been added back to RU. Looking forward to the other certifications coming back as well.

  • The flat rate only applies to T & D.

  • Do you only pay a flat rate tuition for three or more classes if you are in the training and development program? Or, does this apply to all Heller college of business graduate students?

Welcome back RU students! Wishing everyone growth and transformation on their learning journey. Giving students the option of obtaining the Certificate in Training and Development is a great addition to the MATD program.

  • Welcome back everyone! Things are a bit different this year but we can’t let it stop us from staying on top of what’s important. It can be tough to be remote and online for those that prefer in-person classes. Stay focused.
